ABSTRACT
Ulrich von Türheim wrote a Middle High German continuation of Gottfried von Straßburg’s Tristan (c.1210) in the 1220s or 1230s, offering a conclusion of this famous fragment. Ulrich also composed a continuation of Wolfram von Eschenbach’s Willehalm (c.1218), focusing on the life of the young hero Rennewart (the so-called Rennewart which was completed before 1250). Both of von Türheim’s works enjoyed widespread popularity.
