Disease detection and therapy are domains which finds utmost importance in the biology of health and in disease and clinical biology. Computational detection and imaging of diseases have come a long way since their early inception. In this chapter, we discuss the different applications of computational studies in detection and designing therapies t combat disease. Computational tools have been designed to detect the single nucleotide polymorphisms (snps) and how the structure and function are affected. Disease detection and therapy design by computational methods is helpful in survery and in complex diseases such as cancer, blood flow-related disorders, brain disorders, cardiac disorders, neural disorders, infectious diseases like HIV, and asthma. Computational studies are also useful in antibiotic research and design of immunization protocols.
