ABSTRACT

The market for electronic games, such as video and computer games, is continually expanding since they are products that increasingly rely on technological advances (Baltezarevic et al., 2018). Their great heterogeneity, from games that require an eminently sensory-motor activity to those that demand great strategic skills and understanding from the player, along with their close relationship with Internet use (since a large part of the existing games can be played online) also explains this expansion (Suzuki et al., 2009). In the Brazilian case, the Game Brazil 2018 Survey estimated that 75.5% of Brazilians play electronic games, regardless of the platform (Brasil, 2018).
