ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the most commonly used design options for feed-in tariffs (FITs). With these in mind, any eager person will be able to draft a basic but complete FIT scheme for their country or region. Where appropriate, we have included examples from regions or countries with particularly good designs. More complex and less frequent design options are presented in the next chapter on advanced FIT design options. These might be of special interest for those living in countries that have already operated a FIT scheme for several years. In addition, unsuccessful design options are presented in chapter 4 on bad FIT design.
