ABSTRACT
Following on from the previous chapter, a number of actual case studies are outlined in detail in order to illustrate some of the procedures and challenges involved in assessing the value of wetland ecosystems and their services. The case studies address a number of different problems across different temporal and spatial scales – from individual wetland service valuation, through whole area management in the context of a single/few environmental pressures, to catchment/landscape scale problems.
