ABSTRACT
International tourism receipts totalled US$2 billion per day in 2006; and while there were 845 million visitor arrivals in 2006, the UNWTO estimates there will be 1.6 billion visitor arrivals in 2020.2 Therefore, tourism is a significant growth industry and one which is particularly attractive to the South.
