Europeans. In fact, the US population is currently at
the bottom end of the height distribution in advanced
industrial countries.
Yet US physical stature does not fully reflect US
affluence. Although on paper the United States is still
among the wealthiest of countries, its population has
become shorter than western and northern Europeans
physically and also lives shorter lives.
