ABSTRACT
I am privileged to offer these remarks into the public discourse at a special moment in personal time: within four days I help you to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of sociology at Atlanta University, and also the 25th anniversary of Transaction at Rutgers University. Actually, we started at Washington University in St. Louis, but after twenty years at Rutgers I feel it only fair and proper to identify with my present home, rather than with our ancestral place of origins.
