ABSTRACT

Published in 1907, George’s “The Anti-Christ” (page 85) today seems amazingly farsighted as a warning against Hitler and the flaming end of that twelve-year “thousand-year Reich.” George’s disciple, Claus von Stauffenberg, leader of the unsuccessful military plot to assassinate Hitler on July 20, 1944, recited this poem to friends before setting off the bomb that wounded the Führer.
