ABSTRACT
Apart from the wider aspects discussed in the preceding chapters, a further question of considerable importance from an economic viewpoint is the efficiency with which the resources allocated to education are utilised. As was the case with these earlier discussions, it will again be seen that this efficiency question is rendered complex because of the special characteristics associated with educational provision.
