ABSTRACT
I hope that the case studies I have offered provided some interesting and useful insights about the way people in various disciplines and adherents of various methodologies make sense of humor. As we have seen, humor is a very slippery subject. It is so pervasive, so incredibly complicated, has so many forms and modes of expression, and does so many things for so many people that it is hard to get a grip on it, to contain it.
