ABSTRACT
Many books and academic journals engage with management studies. The intention here is not to replicate those debates as it would be impossible in the context of a single textbook chapter. However, in engaging with managing change, it is possible to introduce broader debates about management which set the scene for the second part of this textbook with regards to managing change. In Chapter 9, leadership studies will be introduced similarly as a precursor to leading change discussions.
