ABSTRACT
This chapter includes four examples of highly specialized research papers that exhibit a range of writing styles and topics where students apply concepts, theories, and accepted wisdom in political science to real-life experiences. These papers build on the students’ training and knowledge in a subfield. Such assignments provide students with the opportunity to collect information, manage it, and make it useful by writing about it.
