ABSTRACT
East Asia as a region became fragmented in modern times. In early history, the traditional order of East Asia was China-centered. In the long course of history, although this order had undergone a lot of instability and adjustment due to the change of the central and peripheral forces, its basic framework had been maintained until the late Qing Dynasty. 1
