ABSTRACT
This chapter, which extends the discussion of chapter 4 on the aesthetics of form in community planning, focuses on the relationships between buildings and between buildings and the streets along which they are located. It also precedes a chapter on blending new urban design and conservation design, examining how to design around and with the “green infrastructure” of environmental features.
