ABSTRACT
So far this book has emphasised that two main types of studies can be conducted where the central underlying principles are those of the symbolic interactionist theoretical approach within the interpretivist paradigm. The first of these types consists of studies where the central research question is formulated in terms of participants’ perspectives on ‘things’. This chapter now presents an exemplar of one way of presenting theory generated within a study of this type.
