ABSTRACT

Whilst the whole purpose of the project is to change the organization in some way, projects themselves are vulnerable to change. There are many kinds of changes and many reasons why they cannot always be avoided. Changes are usually thought of as unwelcome and disruptive, but change is not necessarily bad. The essence of managing project change is to treat the ends as non-negotiable and to be agile and flexible in changing the means. Unforeseeable events in the future of the project can be accommodated by changing the solution, the approach or the capability of the resources.
