The Nature of Objective Moral Claims *

Could such claims as ‘George ought to feed his child,’ ‘Tyrannies are evil,’ and perhaps even ‘Mozart’s compositions are more beautiful than Schoenberg’s’ be objectively true? Or are they merely expressions of our subjective preferences?
