ABSTRACT
We have observed that if, in the pre-industrial age, bonds were formed through the community of neighbourhoods, the family, professional guilds, and religious fraternities, they are now, more and more, formed on the sites of manufactures, first by such notions as ‘able-bodied’ (in so far as being non-disabled), and later by ‘contract’ and the ‘right to work’. What is interesting to note here is that these notions are not uttered as a ‘more’, as an imaginary contribution, but according to the register of the symbolic as delimitation.
