ABSTRACT

The recipes in this section are aimed at children working within the EYFS curriculum. They are specifically aimed towards 3- to 5-year-olds. The recipes begin with simple suggestions for preparing fruit and salad in different ways. This will give the children the opportunity to use equipment and to learn some of the skills involved in food preparation. They are designed to be quick, simple, snack preparation recipes that children and teachers/practitioners can use to encourage the children to explore a variety of healthy snack options. These recipes can, of course been used with older children as the outcome will be very different.
