ABSTRACT
This chapter offers readers guidance on how to use this handbook. Each chapter begins with learning outcomes to frame the content offered. The learning outcomes relate to the number and content of the chapter sections. Each section contains academic and professional discussions in key areas for employability and skills for tourism, hospitality and events (THE) management. Within the sections of each chapter, think points, activities and case studies are included to enable readers to reflect and apply their learning. Application and reflection on learning from this handbook ensures readers not only consider employability and skills for THE, but increase their capabilities and competencies for successful employment. The handbook offers a total of 23 chapters within four parts: employability skills for THE, personal development, academic development and professional development. It is aimed to be used in conjunction to studies in THE, as associated fields of study.
