ABSTRACT
Nevertheless there are major groups in the movement which can be broadly described. These give an insight into the issues of concern, the goals that are sought and some of the methods employed. The five broad groups are:
(a) The Environmental grass roots (e.~ The Friends of the Earth network),
(b) The Conservationists (The IUCN network), (c) The Environmental pragmatists or procedural-
(e) The Sustainable Developmentalists (The new network) .
