ABSTRACT
Insofar as the law is an instrument, it is not an instrument available and malleable for any end. A teleology exists, but this is the ancient type of teleology that involves a development towards the one and the only telos, a struggle for consummation of a preconceived inner nature. This telos and inner nature, which must be practised relentlessly, is not reason but fight: the splendid, frantic fight against wrong – das Unrecht.
