ABSTRACT
This chapter is concerned with the major phase when building work is proceeding on site. It stops short of completion and what lies beyond; these are covered in Chapter 10. Discussion is given of those clauses in Section 1 of the anticipated revised section headed JeT contract not discussed in Chapters 5 and 6 and of the clauses in Section 3 of that form (revised numbers are in brackets and see also comparison table in the Index of JCT clauses). Most of the details are brought in by the contract clauses discussed, but some key activities of the two parties may be listed as pointers, including some discussed in later chapters.
