ABSTRACT
This chapter is descriptive of the contract forms available, which are discussed or referred to in Parts 2 and 3 of the volume. Table 4.1 sets out a skeletal comparison of the choices available. Each of the forms directly indicated or implied there is mentioned in this chapter, in varying detail, and each heading is referenced to the table and to later chapters. The table order shows the relationship in principle

between contracts, while in the main the order in the rest of this chapter and book reflects the way in which contents are compared. Part 2 deals with the sequential development of practice aspects and relates the clauses of the JCT with design contract to that sequence.
