ABSTRACT

Jews had not only to be removed from the east to make way for Aryan settlers, they also had to be eliminated in the rest of Europe, since they were the embodiment of all that was wrong with the modern world and a deadly threat to the purity of the Germanic race. As a result of this crazed vision 6 million Jews were rounded up, shot, gassed or sent to one of the six death factories. Millions of Slavs were also murdered, but the sheer impossibility of the undertaking, combined with the tenacity of the Red Army, frustrated General Plan East which called for the slaughter of an excess population of at least 30 million.
