ABSTRACT

This chapter is intended as a bridge between the two main parts of this book. It begins with a brief commentary on the relationship of research principle to research design, including some observations on the terminology involved, and then introduces the methods and techniques that will be discussed in subsequent chapters. The final section of the chapter suggests in practical terms some of the channels open to teacher researchers who wish to 'go public' and disseminate their own work to a wider audience, and read up on published work.
