ABSTRACT
This chapter shifts the perspective from clinical description to systematic analysis. I t begins with a review of prior follow-up research on formerly hospitalized adolescents as a prelude to pre senting the results regarding pre-admission, admission, hospital and post-discharge variables which were found to be of prognostic value for this sample of borderline adolescents.
