ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thought on the concepts covered in this book. It concludes the assessment of the US's potential impact on China's energy strategy beyond the widely addressed strategic aspects, as well as incorporate potentially positive contributions the US has made to China's energy security. Domestic pressures contribute to the Chinese state's energy anxiety. Over the past decade, concerns about energy and the environment among the Chinese public have increased dramatically. A steady flow of energy to maintain economic growth remains intrinsic to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)'s hold on state power. In Venezuela, political instability, a weak economic environment and a lack of skilled workers has dramatically weakened Venezuela's ability to export oil. The difficulties facing West Africa today in light of the US withdrawal as a consumer of its oil fits this situation because they will be forced to cut production, which will create price instability.
