ABSTRACT
Research conducted by OnePoll on behalf of the makers of Ribena Plus (2012) found that children enjoy playing with boxes instead of other toys, gadgets and games. The inspiration for this Idea is credited to Catherine Hetherington who put a box in the middle of a circle of children and got them to think of creative ways of using the box as a way of generating ideas for their story writing. The suggestions below consider the inspirational potential of just two different kinds of cardboard box and merely offer initial creative questions to spark imaginations rather than present ‘the definitive’!
