ABSTRACT
Primary data collection can be one of the most rewarding parts of undertaking research. In completing this process, a student can learn how real-world experiences inform current practice. The practice of undertaking any systematic investigation is not without risks, but these can be minimised by recognising them and acting to reduce these early in the process.
