ABSTRACT
This chapter forms somewhat of a theoretical excursus which seeks to explore in more depth the structures responsible for the stalled gender revolution discussed in the previous two chapters. It also sets the foundation for a deeper analysis of certain aspects of the age/gender regime in the chapters that follow, including ways in which it may be resisted.
