ABSTRACT
Any award-winning campaign must have been successful; otherwise, it would not have won an award. But what makes it worthy of an award is a matter of interpretation. That is certainly where defining and measuring success comes into play. Whether you are a professional or a student in the NSAC competition, the formula for winning an award is defining success, putting together a successful program, and proving it by measuring the outcome. The difference between a professional and a student competition is that the professionals actually measure campaigns that have been in the market while students are forecasting the impact of their campaign. However, in either case, gauging success involves defining objectives and putting an evaluation or measurement plan into effect to understand whether objectives have been achieved.
