ABSTRACT

Decisions at all levels in individual and team games are linked in a joint complex, but a basic distinction has to be drawn between performance DM and organizational DM. Certain types of human group activities are marked by two different types of DM – ‘inside, real-time’ and ‘outside, pre- and post-time’ of the action itself. For example, in sport and military activity one has to distinguish between: (1) athletes’ (troops’) and coaches’ (commanders’) decisions made during game playing (battle) and (2) decisions made by all outside subjects involved in this competitive (military) activity and making management decisions before or after the activity per se.
