ABSTRACT

In this International Handbook of Positive Aging we have discussed the national and international evidence across a range of topics related to aging. Whilst we aimed to consider the challenges that come with an aging population on a societal level and the challenges faced in later life on an individual level, the key aim was to recognise and identify the opportunity provided to us, as a society, to accept it with both hands and start to rethink how we do things to enable older adults to age more positively.
