ABSTRACT

Whilst this is a self-help book, many people find that the only reliable way to sustain recovery is with help from another person or people. If you do not get the help you need from this book or if you find that you keep slipping back into the old behaviour in spite of all your good intentions to change, then you could give group work a try. As there are high levels of secrecy and shame around sexual behaviour, this might sound like an unappealing prospect. However, if you do not get the sobriety that you are hoping for on your own, you could bite the bullet and get a group or another person’s involvement to help you move forward.
