ABSTRACT
In a period of educational accountability and high-stakes testing, theprincipal must serve as the Instructional Leader of the school. This roleencompasses that the principal ensures the following: implementation of rigorous standards for learning, effective use of research-based and culturally responsive instructional strategies, and data-informed instructional planning based on multiple, fair, and equitable assessments aligned with instruction.
