ABSTRACT
AEQ is analyzed. Factors which must be considered in selecting physical
measures for analysis in any given case include: the nature of the pro
duction processes and raw materials used; the financial and labor resources
available for installation and operation; the existence of alternative
technological options from foreign sources; possible barriers to the pur
chase of foreign technological options; the extent to which a particular
physical measure is considered politically, socially, economically fea
sible, e.g., can be implemented; and the available analytical resources.
