ABSTRACT
As mentioned, the psychiatrists assessing Gross in 1913, saw his ‘radicalism’ as a major aspect of the severe psychopathology they diagnosed: an expression of a general bias, surviving to this day, which conceives of revolutionary politics as an obviously irrational doctrine of mad fanatics and bomb-throwing terrorists.
