ABSTRACT
Emma was involved in a significant car accident a number of years ago. She had a good friend as a passenger in her car when they were struck by another car at high speed. The accident seemed to happen in slow motion to Emma, and it seemed strange to her friend that just before the cars collided Emma said in a very calm voice, “I think we’re about to get hit.”
