ABSTRACT
Efforts to increase the rigor of schools and classrooms are only successful when they have widespread support and ownership. They aren’t as successful when the principal or central office mandates rigor. We’ve learned that involving all stakeholders, families, and community, as well as teachers and other staff, is essential to your success. Participation and involvement help to build collective commitment to improving your school.
