The reason why organizations go to great lengths to search for and hire talent is because great people deliver great products and services, provide customers with immense satisfaction, give their companies a competitive advantage and, in summary, make organizations great and effective. The mere acquisition of a talent or great people does not spontaneously produce these awesome results. Extraordinary ability alone does not yield extraordinary performance. Hence, company executives must answer the question: ‘Now that you have talent, what next? How do you ensure that they are actively engaged so that you can derive optimal benefits from their capabilities?’
