ABSTRACT
As the previous chapter has demonstrated, a key feature of regeneration programmes is the embedding of security features that function to physically protect these spaces and to symbolically promote a particular tenor of order and attract particular types of users. This chapter explores the shape and function of such security practices with particular attention to how they relate to the multiple threats faced by olympic planners. in doing so, it argues that olympic insecurities and olympic securities develop along different trajectories.
