ABSTRACT

I noticed a Zero Tolerance for Verbal Abuse sign in the airport. At the station I read about the train operator’s commitment to zero harmful emissions. Arriving in downtown New York I visited Ground Zero, before meeting a nutrition-fanatic friend for lunch. She chose zero fat salad dressing on her zero calorie kale salad. I chose a high-octane steak though opted for a zero sugar Coke to balance the calorie count. The salad sauce may have been light but it certainly left some heavy stains on my shirt. When the hotel laundry service sent it back to my room after cleaning I noticed some damage that I was sure wasn’t there before. Calling reception I’m advised of the hotel’s zero liability policy and told I’d sent the shirt at my own risk.
