ABSTRACT
In the chapter on Culture the word values popped up 14 times. In our work with clients around the world values are also one of the most talked about aspects of safety culture. And in both contemporary academic and practitioner writings valuesbased leadership appears to be the fl avour du jour. In the earlier chapter on culture we introduced the notion that values shape an organization’s culture and guide the behaviours of those who work within it, so let’s explore some more of that here.
