ABSTRACT

I will denominate “dramatics” the other coordinate of this model consisting in the deployment of the subject’s attitudes, impulses, and thrust directed to the destinator’s sensibility. I have chosen the word “dramatics” because it is related to acting and action “… and for this reason such works are called dramas, because in them one imitates men in action … also the Doric give acting the name of δραν”. (Poetics Aristotle 1448b) Dramatics comes from the term dromenon, “something acted”. By dramatics, then, I am not referring to fictitious performance, as in the theater, but to action and display of energy in daily life towards the production of aesthetic effects.
