ABSTRACT

First to Jambheswar and then to the farmer I bow down. With the grace of guru Vidyādhara, I state the speech of Jambheśvara. Where the jīva is explained, also the world is stated. The fundamental substance that liberates the jīva is enlightened here. There are two activities considered in this speech: one is for the guru and the other is for the mind. By the former, one is liberated from the cycle of rebirth. By the latter, one is entangled in the cycle of rebirth. The body ends so the death is inevitable. The dead is born again and thus the cycle of life and death continues. The jīva should always strengthen and nourish the foundation and while doing that one can liberate from the bondage of life. The supreme devotion is to concentrate one’s mind on Vishnu and to chant Vishnu. The permanent peace is here. Here three worlds and 14 abodes are considered. The divine light of the almighty enlightens them all. The heaven is the abode of bliss and the hell is that of misery. The peace is present in the Vaikuntha where the liberated people reside. There are several kinds of relationships in the world. There are different kinds of emotions. There are desired friends and relatives also. These all perish, they do not have any essence so the wise person, having known the fundamental substance, does not experience happiness in them. The home is not here but it is ahead. For how many days will the cows of the farmer stay? There is only one home in the universe and that is in Vaikuntha. The incomplete practice is false. The fundamental condition stays only at one station. On this land of the universe, there is no grain or water. O farmer! If you want to stay alive, remove your senses from here. The guru is the supreme substance and is the abode of compassion. When guru is experienced directly, nothing else remains to be known.
