We will now look at corporate ethics and responsibility from a broader perspective with a focus on the relationship between religion, ethics, and values. The chapter begins by presenting the relationship between Protestant ethics and corporate values. At the level of cosmopolitan business ethics, deep religious values play an important role in understanding business in contemporary capitalism. It then discusses the values behind the idea of social responsibility of business. Finally, the chapter presents the legitimacy issues from the perspective of the relationship between religion and business ethics.
