Did you hear the one about the guy who walks into the doctor’s office for a checkup, tells his doctor, “I’m feeling kid of rough.” Doctor says, “I’ll break it to you, son. Your shit’s fucked up. It happens to the best of us.”1 Turns out that guy was singer-songwriter Warren Zevon. He wrote the joke, told the tale, sang the song and in 2002, Zevon became his own punch line.
