ABSTRACT
The central thesis advanced in this book is that there was an ongoing AngloItalian conflict in the Middle East from the 1920s onwards. Although Mussolini’s antagonism towards Britain took on a more aggressive character in the 1930s, the relationship between London and Rome in the Middle East was, from the second half of the 1920s, already notably tense.
